Respect, Exacting Standards & Humility

The estate places eco-responsibility and respect for the environment at the heart of its winemaking approach.

Beyond the organic certification obtained in 2020 and the use of certain biodynamic viticulture practices, we are fully committed to an agroecological demarche. Our goal is to protect our natural heritage, restore biodiversity, and thus create greater resilience in our vineyards. This translates into a number of practices:

  • Planting trees within plots and hedges along the boundaries of the vineyard
  • Introducing medicinal plants (valerian, yarrow, milfoil, meadowsweet, etc.) for the preparation of herbal infusions for the vines,
  • Installing nesting houses for chickadees and bat shelters,
  • Using vegetal cover, etc.

Each one of these measures help to stimulate biodiversity, promote the natural regulation of vine predators, produce biomass, capture carbon, improve soil structure, avoid evapotranspiration and limit the need for plowing.

The challenges of winegrowing and climate change teach us humility and push us to continually experiment with new techniques. We believe that it is essential to constantly question ourselves.

This demarche extends to the vat room, where our wooden vats of various capacities allow us to carry out rigorous, precise, and demanding parcel selections.

We seek the purest
expression of our climats,

as evidenced by the absence
of added sulfites during
the period of vinification.

All these steps and many other daily actions exemplify our respect for our biotopes and our desire to interpret our terroirs while remaining loyal to their unique personality.
